“Reason this person is a Gold Ribbon Hero: Brooke has accomplished so much since she was diagnosed and had her surgery.  She was 11 when diagnosed. She will be 16 in September.  She was recently able to walk the entire survivors lap and walked the caregivers lap back to back for the Relay for life.  Walking had been hard for her.  She has a bright future ahead of her in spite of that ugly thing called cancer.
