Every year, this global day of giving brings together countless people, united by the desire to make the world a better place. This Giving Tuesday, help us honor the young warriors who have battled childhood cancer, their journeys, and the significance of research in saving their lives. At the American Childhood Cancer Organization (ACCO), we understand the unique emotional and psychological challenges these brave kids face.

Through ACCO’s What About Kids State Research Initiative, new treatments give kids a chance to celebrate another birthday.

Since 2018, ACCO worked to secure more than $119 million in state funding for childhood cancer research through this initiative with a goal to secure 25 states appropriating funds for childhood cancer by 2030.

Together, we can make childhood cancer a state health priority in funding and policies for kids fighting cancer and long-term childhood cancer survivors.

1 in 285 children will be diagnosed with cancer before their 20th birthday. At ACCO, we support and advocate for the “1.”
