“Reason this person is a Gold Ribbon Hero: Crystal’s  17 month old daughter Sophia passed away this year fighting for her life. Since that awful day, Crystal has become a voice for childhood cancer in our community. She returns to Doernbecher hospital to visit children and parents going through treatment, assists in fundraising for families and promotes awareness all while mourning the loss of her angel.  Her strength and passion inspires many.
