The real heroes during this pandemic are the frontline medical staff. We need to protect them, so they can safely help us. ACCO recognizes the desperate need for N-95 masks. This shortage is scary for both those affected by COVID-19 and our immunocompromised warriors in the hospital for their treatments. While we are hopeful that the government, businesses, and the community come together and provide all standard personal protection equipment we want our warrior community to help bridge the gap while they wait.
The medical community is asking for cloth masks to cover their N95 masks to provide additional protection and allow them to reuse the N95s during this shortage. We encourage you to use supplies you have (wash fabric first!), visit your local craft supply store online like JoAnn Fabrics, Michaels or Hobby Lobby, to pick up or ship supplies to you, sew, sew, sew, and then drop off your completed masks to local hospitals and treatment facilities! See the sewing instructions below and don’t forget to take pictures and share with ACCO using our hashtags!

We hope you all are staying safe and finding creative ways to find the joy in social distancing. Such tough times for everyone – one we are far too familiar with as cancer families. We are looking for ways to give back to the hospitals who remain on the front lines at this difficult time. In order to help address the desperate need for masks of any kind (hopefully temporarily to stop-gap the shortage), we are asking our community to help us promote our fabric mask campaign – Sew to Save Lives in your communities! We would love to get this viral and show our support for the doctors and nurses who take care of our warriors!
Thank you in advance for anything you can do.
